Conduit Connect announces Charles Eve and Rodney Appiah to join Board of Directors

Conduit Connect announced today that Charles Eve and Rodney Appiah have joined its Board of Directors. The Conduit Connect sources and selects high quality and high impact businesses that aim to deliver profit and purpose. To date they have selected over 60 opportunities to share with their mission aligned investment community.

Charles Eve has spent a career in finance. He joined Goldman Sachs Convertible Bond desk in 1986 where he went on to expand and lead that team. In 1998 he went to Tokyo to Co-Head the Securities division and was elected Partner in 2000. Charles joined the Asian Management Committee in 2001 and the Global Risk Committee later that year. In 2002 he was promoted to Chief of Staff for the Asian region. In 2003 Charles returned to the UK where asked to become Head of the EMEA Compliance function, a position he held until his retirement from the firm in February 2018. Since then Charles has pursued a plural career. He has a portfolio of over 14 investments in social impact start-ups, is involved with several charities, a school governor and is on the Advisory Board for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Rodney Appiah is a non-executive director and finance professional with a 15 year track record of effective leadership, commercial growth and outperformance across investment banking, leveraged finance, private equity and venture capital. A serial angel investor, Rodney is co-founder and Chair of Cornerstone Partners, the leading angel syndicate in the UK focused on investing in businesses led by black and diverse founders. Rodney is currently a Director at Foresight Group, one of the UK's leading and longest established investors in private equity and sustainable infrastructure investing, and was a former senior investor at BGF, one of the most active growth capital investment firms in the world focused on regional SME investing. Rodney initially began his career at Merrill Lynch where, over a five year period, he closed more than 15 transactions ranging from £50m to £1.2 billion in size. A seasoned board director, Rodney is Chairman of the CBI London U35 Committee, a former school governor and an advisor to a number of early UK stage businesses.
